This is a prototype of the Non Age Stated (NAS) Sherry Wood Finish (click here) carried a label with the age statement ’12 year old’. It is highly likely that the NAS Sherry Wood is in fact a 12 year old Sherry Wood, but that – because Nikka wanted to introduce their new NAS and put the spotlight on that – they removed the age-statement from the Sherry Wood Finish edition, so that some of the positive responses to that NAS Sherry Wood would ‘rub off’ on the new NAS (by association).
