The Macallan Rare Cask – Batch #1 2018 Release is a new look on The Macallan Rare Cask, which is crafted to demonstrate complexity and depth of the whisky. Drawn from the broadest spectrum of casks used in maturation on The Macallan Estate, less than 1% of the stock maturing was worthy to be used in the creation of Rare Cask Batch No.1.
Macallan is releasing Rare Cask Batch No 1 2018 Release. As the name of the release suggests it will be an annual release, the back label says “Each limited release batch represents the volume of only 50 European Sherry Seasoned Oak Butts.”.
