This is the first edition of the Ghost series featuring from Yoshitoshi’s “New Forms of 36 ghosts” (click here for more info) by Stefan van Eycken (click here to read more about this legend of Japanese whisky). The latest edition was the Akashi #61791and until no there is no sign this serie will stop. As long as it continues, the early editions (hence the very first edition as well) will become more and more valuable! ???
The print of this label depicts Jigoku-dayū, a former courtesan, who is shown the errors of her past occupation by a parade of ghost courtesans.
This whisky is a limited edition of only 140 bottles and I can assure you many have been opened already! Truly collectible as this Ghost serie is one of the few series that has whiskies from different distilleries. Most series are by produced from one distillery indeed
