We’ve been teasing this one a while and it’s finally here. We thank Michael from Cave Saint Seurin for the introduction at quite a few houses and we certainly have quite a few more coming. In any case the nose is absolutely dominated by rancio, making it a very unique spirit profile. If we had to compare it, it perhaps reminds us a little bit of those old school 50’s balsamic sherry cask whiskies. On top of those lovely oxidised notes it has plenty of fruit, polished wood, varnish, tobacco… We can keep going for some tim; it is that complex. The price, you’ll agree, makes this for a 50 year old spirit just an absolute “must grab”.
